Rachelle Ann Go's "Unbreakable" Album Launch Blog (Aug 13, 2011)

It’s been a colourful seven-year journey in showbiz for Rachelle Ann Go. Through all her successes, she’s also had a share of intrigues, but nothing could break her down. And she shares the reason for it in her brand new album,Unbreakable.

Talking about her 14-track album, Rachelle Ann cannot hide her excitement.

“This album is quite special because for the first time, it includes my own composition,” she says.
That song is entitled ‘Whispered Fear’, which she wrote three years ago. She recalls that she was on a plane that time, feeling alone and fears were gnawing at her. But upon reflection, she realized that she only had to hold on to God to remain strong. Rachelle Ann, also known as “Shin”, hopes that people will be inspired by this song.

Other than ‘Whispered Fear’, the album has 10 OPM songs and three revivals namely, ‘Kung Alam Mo Lang’, ‘Sa Aking Puso’, originally sung by Ariel Rivera and ‘Part of Your World’ from the musical The Little Mermaid. Shin chooses ‘Lihim’, a song about secret love as her favorite. She commends Medwin of True Faith for giving the song a distinct music.

The Search For A Star champion wrote two songs in her new album: 'Whispered Fear' and 'Whoa-Man'

Her carrier single, ‘Masasabi Mo Ba’ by Vehnee Saturno now enjoys radio airtime. It’s a song for every romantic who longs for assurance that love is going to be forever. She’s especially proud of the fast track ‘Whoa Man’, a collaboration with good friends Joe Abuda and Artstrong Clarion. The three of them worked on it for only two days and the result is an empowering song for every woman.

A line in ‘Whoa Man’ goes “I’m here to conquer, it’s time to let go all the fears...” It perfectly speaks of how Rachelle Ann stands in her career at the moment.

The Search For A Star champion has just been chosen to play Arielle, the lead in the musical The Little Mermaid. Having been active in school plays before, and inspired by her favorite plays, Miss Saigon and West Side Story, it has always been a dream for her to do theatre as well. So when news about auditions for The Little Mermaidreached her, she didn’t pass.
